Every successful business today creates a mission statement and goals. We are no different!

The Business and Marketing Education Department at Nathan Hale is made up of teachers who are dedicated to life-long learning and devoted to the recognition that business and marketing education competencies are essential for all individuals in today's fast-changing global society. They are committed to advancing and improving education by bringing innovative ideas to the classroom.

The mission of the department is to prepare all students to build a knowledge base of business skills and attitudes that are required in today’s business world so our students will be competent, productive, and successful members of the workforce.

Our goals for students include:

  • To provide opportunities for all students to acquire computer knowledge needed to function in today's society,

  • To provide career information which will help students relate their interests, needs, and abilities to occupational opportunities in business, and

  • To provide financial information to ensure that students become informed and competent participants in the economy.

In addition, students enrolled in other areas often need one or more business and marketing education courses to complement or supplement their educational program.  Often students who are planning to go on to technical school or college want one or more business courses to assure themselves of having adequate job skills for part-time employment while continuing their education.

We are involved! You can get involved too!

Two national student organizations are affiliated with Nathan Hale High School's Business & Marketing Education Department.  Please click on the following red links to find out more about these national Career & Technical Student Organizations:
