10/14/18    Parent Teacher Conference

Parents and Guardians of Nathan Hale students:

I am writing to inform you of two important items of information regarding the upcoming Parent-Teacher conferences this Wednesday, October 17th

First, as a reminder, Quarter 1 Parent-Teacher Conferences are being held this, Wednesday, October 17th, from 4:30 – 8:00 p.m.   This conference evening is open to all interested parents with no appointment necessary. Please enter through the west-side Commons doors where you can pick up a map of teacher locations. Core academic teachers will be located alphabetically by last name in the hallways, A-K on the first floor and L-Z on the second floor, with all elective teachers located in the cafeteria.

Progress reports are available on the Skyward information system for your viewing.  In addition, an office staff member will be available in the Commons on this evening if you need your log-in information for Skyward Parent Access (will need a photo I.D. to receive this confidential information).  Also, please stop in the Computer Lab room #200 anytime throughout the evening if you need additional support to access your students Skyward grade, attendance, and behavior information.

And second, for your convenience on this same conference evening, we will be conducting a few informational meetings for our Junior and Freshmen parents. For junior parents, with this year being an important year for college entrance and state testing, we will be conducting an informational meeting regarding the ACT state test being taken in February.  This 30-minute ACT overview will be in the auditorium at 5:30 p.m. and again at 6:30 p.m. for your choice to attend.  In addition, for our Freshmen parents, we will have a presentation regarding College and Career Readiness planning over the next four years.  This 30-minute overview will take place in Room #223 at 5:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. for your choice to attend as well.  We hope conducting these presentations on the same conference evening accommodates parents’ busy schedules.

Thank you and we hope to see everyone Wednesday night.
